During packet pickup in the Reg Area, welcome the riders, perform rider verification activities, pull packets sorted numerically, and communicate very general ride information.
6:00 AM - 8:30 AM
During packet pickup in the Reg Area, direct riders to bike valet, answer general event questions, and assist with waiver signing. Volunteers should be comfortable speaking assertively and giving direction.
6:45 AM - 8:15 AM
Volunteers will guide riders into staging areas. You'll be using strong communication skills to gently but firmly tell riders where they can and cannot go. Physical needs will include standing for 3+ hours. Wear comfortable close-toed shoes.
7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
This volunteer position will be used to record who is approved to volunteer as a HAM operator for this event. When you register to volunteer and enter in your name, please include in parenthesis (Call Number). 
7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This is a generic registration for any EMS volunteers. Positions and times are coordinated through Ted Williams. Ted will be in contact with volunteers for more information and potential assignments. Actual shifts will be dependent on the location/position. 
7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Provide on course support for riders.  This position is open to anyone with a valid drivers license and insurance, ability to carry two or more bikes and riders.  You may be teamed with an EMT or HAM radio operator depending on needs.
Warn cyclists of the split in routes: Growler/Gran go left, all other routes go right at Eastside Rd.  **A pre-event briefing with the Marshal Coordinator is required for all first-time Marshals to discuss the event, course and what to expect and to pick up a vest and flag.
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Assist riders with checking in and returning bikes. Duties may include giving each rider a sticker that matches where they parked; verifying that bike numbers match rider bib numbers, and giving directions on where to proceed. Required for this shift are good customer service skills, ability to be cool under pressure, and working well with a team and leader. Location: Outside gym
8:00 AM - 12:15 PM
Medio, Geysers, Gran and Growler routes stop here. Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks including setup, assembling snacks and keeping drinks stocked. The rest stop is open from 9:30am-3:30pm. First shift includes setup. 38.76985, -122.99548 (30 min drive time from Downtown Santa Rosa)

Manage our Bike Bedazzling station! Assist riders and festival attendees with provided art supplies and materials to bling out their bikes! 
8:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Volunteers will help with various stages of tear down, including moving equipment and supplies. Heavy lifting will be required. Ability to read a map is helpful. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring a headlamp if you have one.
This is a very important job for the safety of our riders! We need your help to direct traffic and riders at the first roundabout on Old Redwood Highway near the finish line. Expect to see some sprint finishes!

Assist with checking in and checking out bicycles. It will also be your duty to keep these bikes safe and secure while they are in left within the valet area.
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Help the family riders navigate to the finish line, cheer them on and welcome them back to the festival. Requires wearing a vest, and holding an orange flag. You’ll make sure that only cyclists can enter the finish chute, and not cars.

Volunteers will greet riders finishing the event, including alerting them on where to go next (drop off bikes at bike parking) and generally keeping the stream of riders moving smoothly through the finish area. Water stop is located at 38.67628, -123.13922. It will accommodate up to 270 riders between 11:15 am and 1:40 pm. Gran and Growler routes stop here. Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks including setup, and keeping drinks stocked. There will be no permanent structure, live music, alcohol or security. Drive time from Windsor starting line is 52 minutes.

Help protect our lead peloton as they make their way back to the finish line! We need volunteers to intermittently hold traffic at various intersections along Arata Rd., Hembree Lane, and Old Redwood Highway. Our lead moto marshal will signify when the large groups of cyclists are expected to pass. You will be provided a safety vest and stop sign for your shift, which will be distributed at an orientation with our race director.

Preferred: Experienced food and beverage servers, since the job requires you to check IDs, pour and serve beer.  Volunteers may also be asked to help with other tasks in this area to keep the flow going. Volunteers must be over 21, bring your ID to the event.  Sign-up early, this one goes fast!
